The Food Pantry has 2 separate programs:
Monthly
A monthly packing and delivery of food to families/seniors/disabled in our local area needing assistance. Participants complete a comprehensive application and provide documentation that must be updated regularly.
Emergency
Emergency food assistance is available for pickup to anyone in need – must call first.
We will help on a one-time basis for those outside of our local area and every 2-3 months for those in our area. Those outside of our local area are referred to the closest food pantry.
Volunteer
There are approximately 100 volunteers involved in managing our Food Pantry on a regular basis. Volunteers sort, store and rotate donations each week, shop for needed food items, pack food boxes monthly, deliver food monthly, and do emergency food packing. If you cannot give time, there are other ways to help the Pantry. Consider signing up for the no-cost – Kroger Community Rewards Program, bringing in a food item every time you come to church, utilizing the “buy one, get one free” at stores, and donating the “free” item. We always need computer paper boxes for packing food and welcome them anytime even if just 1 or 2.
Our monthly food program and the emergency food program are not meant to provide recipients with food for a whole month. It does, however, offer enough food for at least a week or two. This assistance allows the recipients (families, single with children, senior citizens, and the disabled) to use their monies toward rent, utilities, gas for cars, etc. The food list located on this page is updated weekly. Please consider bringing in an item or two from the list whenever attending mass. Your continued generosity allows our pantry to make a difference in the lives of many in our community! Thank you!!
